Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, booking lessons, or using any Sk8time services, you confirm that you:

• Are at least 18 years old (or have parental consent if under 18)
• Agree to provide accurate and complete information
• Will use Sk8time only for legitimate lesson scheduling purposes
• Accept full responsibility for your account activity and content

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use Sk8time.

2. Account Responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Ensuring all information provided is accurate and up-to-date
• Complying with all applicable laws and regulations

Notify us immediately of any unauthorized account access or security breach.

3. Service Description

Sk8time provides a digital platform for:

• Scheduling and managing coaching lessons between coaches and students
• Tracking lesson availability, confirmations, and cancellations
• Managing waitlists and student enrollment
• Generating invoices
• Storing relevant contact and scheduling information

Sk8time is a scheduling tool only – we do not provide coaching services, guarantee lesson quality, or mediate disputes between users.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use Sk8time for any illegal, fraudulent, or unauthorized purpose
• Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state your affiliation
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users of the platform
• Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other user accounts
• Use the platform to collect personal data about other users without consent

Violation of these conduct rules may result in immediate account suspension or termination.

5. Fees and Payment

SK8Time offers both free and premium features:

• Free Tier: View-only access to existing lessons and basic profile management.
• Coach Trial: Full-featured 90-day trial for new coaches with no payment required.
• Premium Tier: Full scheduling, invoicing, reporting, and management features available after trial completion via subscription.

All payments are processed securely by our third-party payment processor, Stripe. Payments are generally non-refundable. Refunds, if any, are only provided as required by law. For more information about Stripe, please see Stripe’s Privacy Policy

6. Intellectual Property

Sk8time and all related content, features, and functionality are:

• Owned by or licensed to Sk8time
• Protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws
• For your personal, non-commercial use only

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from any Sk8time content without our prior written permission.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Sk8time is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties, express or implied, including:

• Warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
• Warranty regarding the accuracy or completeness of any content

You use Sk8time at your own risk. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.

8. Account Deletion

When you delete your account, we remove all personal data associated with your account. The only information we may retain is your email address in a secure, internal reference used solely to prevent duplicate account creation. This reference is unlinked from any other personal data and will be deleted immediately upon your request.

To request deletion of your email reference, contact us at support@sk8time.com with the subject line "Email Reference Deletion".

9. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement:

• You: By deleting your account through your account settings
• Sk8time: For violation of these Terms, illegal activity, or at our discretion with notice

Upon termination, your right to use Sk8time immediately ceases. Account deletion follows the process described in Section 8.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action arising from these Terms must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Colorado.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will:

• Post the updated Terms on this page with a new "Last updated" date
• Provide notice through the app or email for significant changes
• Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms
